Kitchen Renovation
The Vaulted Kitchen
A full kitchen rebuild under an open, tongue-and-groove pine ceiling, finished with a sage island and a custom range hood.

The challenge
The room had good bones — a vaulted ceiling and a wall of windows onto the yard — but the layout wasted the light and the kitchen itself was closed off from where people actually sat.
Our approach
We opened the plan around a single working island, carried the ceiling in tongue-and-groove pine to keep the volume feeling warm rather than cavernous, and built the cabinetry in a soft sage with a black range and hood as the anchor.
The result
One room that cooks, serves and seats a full table, with the original ceiling doing most of the talking.
